“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”― Mother Theresa
Dear Parents,
Christmas is a holiday filled with good cheer, joyful decorations, and time with family and friends. Christmas, is a day for fun, love, and happiness. For millions of people who celebrate this festival, Christmas is the season of great joy.
In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it is easy to become distracted and lose sight of what truly matters on Christmas. This is especially true for little ones who can’t wait to see what Santa brings them! While it is fun to talk about Santa and to see the excitement in children’s eyes as they open their presents on Christmas morning, it is also important to keep their minds and hearts focused on a time when we celebrate love and spread this love to others.
One of the most powerful ways to teach children about the significance of Christmas to teach them to be kind and to share. What better way to do this than by teaching them to give back to those in need through a hands-on activity. Donate some toys, food or warm clothes to the needy. Take your child with you to see these acts of kindness. Teaching your children to serve in their communities at a young age instils a sense of service and love.
Even though this is not originally an Indian festival, the excitement and enthusiasm is palpable. The end of the year is a great time to bring all your close-knit family members together and celebrate more enthusiastically.
We had a great Xmas morning at school, Carol singing, a Nativity skit by the teachers, dancing and of course the highlight a visit from Santa. Thank you parents and wishing each one of you Compliments of the season and a very Happy New Year. Our next blog will now be updated on Friday 10th January.
